Farmers show strong support to Area-Based Yield Index Insurance for Rice

In a significant step towards enhancing agricultural resilience in the Philippines, a new crop insurance model called the Area-Based Yield (ARBY) index insurance has captured the interest of Filipino farmers. ARBY is a crop insurance model that calculates coverage and payouts based on the historical average yield for a particular area, rather than on the yields reported by individual farmers, to address crop loss compensation.
